There are places where the stories of the Greek goddesses still shape the landscape.
Ancient temples rise above the Aegean. Sanctuaries mark the places where women once gathered in ritual. Pilgrims journeyed to consult the Oracle at Delphi, initiates entered the mysteries at Eleusis, and goddesses were honored across the ancient Greek world.
But Greece is not only its ancient past. It is a living culture, shaped by generations of tradition, change, resilience, celebration, food, music, dance, and the people who call it home.
October 8–17, 2027, Drs. Annalisa Derr & Andrea Slominski invite a small group of women to join us for an immersive journey through the sacred landscapes, mythology, history, and living culture of Greece.
Ancient & Modern Greece
Our journey will take us to the Acropolis and the City of Athena, the Oracle ode to Delphi, the mysteries of Eleusis, the sanctuary of Artemis at Brauron, the Temple of Aphaia on Aegina, and Cape Sounion. We’ll immerse in the myths, goddesses, and sacred landscapes of ancient Greece.
Along the way, we’ll move between ancient and living Greece—through mythology and history, workshops and ritual, Greek food and traditions, and experiences with Greek teachers and cultural practitioners.
More than a tour of ancient sites, it is an opportunity to encounter the Greek goddesses in the landscapes and stories that shaped them, while discovering how Greek culture continues to live, change, and express itself today.
And through these encounters, we’ll turn toward our own lives to explore what these ancient stories can reveal about the living Goddess within.
